Canandaigua Emergency Squad, Inc.

Established in 1940 as a community based volunteer ambulance and rescue service, The Canandaigua Emergency Squad is the primary ambulance service to a 144 square mile district in the Finger Lakes Region. They are the busiest volunteer 911 service in Ontario County, Responding to over 4000 calls annually. They offer a 'Community Loan Closet', which provides a variety of medical devices such as Crutches, Walkers, Canes and Wheel Chairs community members may borrow, based on availability at NO charge. Training is available such as AHA Heartsaver CPR, AED and First Aid, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and many others are offered thru Canandaigua Emergency Squad. Ontario County Historical Society

Established in 1902, The Ontario County Historical Society operates a Community History Museum and is part of  New York State's Path Through History. They are an information resource and center of learning. Preservation and Promotion of the history of Ontario County from its origins to the present connect the Community to its past and find purpose for the history. Many Events are held throughout the year highlighting various Historical Happenings from around our area. St. Benedict Roman Catholic Parish

St. Benedict Roman Catholic Parish offers many services and enjoying rich worship, lively activities such as the Annual Summer Festival including their Gigantic Lawn Sale & Clothing Boutique, Festival Midway as well as their Annual Meat Raffle. Stop by to learn more information about heir KALAMA PROJECT, a 10 year old initiative which has provided clean water, education and health care to a remote village in Kenya. Celebrating 160 Years, The Wood Library provides an exceptional public library experience offering many amenities such as copying and faxes, Free WiFi, Public computers, Art Exhibits and MUCH more. Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse. This gives YOU an opportunity to,thru the year, find a shoebox, decide if you'd like to pack a box for a girl or boy, now, fill it with gifts such as a "WOW" gift, Personal Care Items, Clothing & Accessories, Crafts & Activities, Toys and you can even include a personal note. These Shoeboxes are then collected in November and shipped to over 112 Countries and Territories. In 2018, there were 10,623,776 Shoebox items collected! Canandaigua First United Methodist Church

The Canandaigua First United Methodist Church has been within our Community since 1815, offering wonderful ministries for Children, Youth and Adults. Continuing to offer many new Worship Series as well as Events such as Wednesday Night Live, Rummage Sales, Chicken Barbecues during the summer and much more thru out the year. Greater Canandaigua Family YMCA

Commitment to strengthening community and transforming lives has been what the Greater Canandaigua Family YMCA has committed to since 1904 when they began serving the Canandaigua Community. Growing from 500 members to 6,500 members.The YMCA has something for everyone ~ offering many programs to suit Youth, Adult and Active Older Adults. Climate Smart Canandaigua

In January 2019, Canandaigua City Council appointed the Climate Smart Canandaigua Task Force to assist the city in achieving Climate Smart Community Certification. Their mission is to provide ongoing implementation of actions related to climate change and increase efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and achieve cost savings in the process, Assess baseline conditions, establish goals and develop plans and suggest policies to achieve goal. They are also educating  the community and stakeholders on the value of the goals and plans. Fort Hill Performing Arts Center

The Fort Hill Performing  Arts Center's  Mission is to enrich Canandigua and the Finger Lakes with a community performing arts center and theatre offering a wide variety of art, live performances, lectures, films and other family entertainment. The Sands Constellation Theatre , Estey Family Stage will host a fabulous variety of productions. The Mary and George Hamlin Main Entrance and Lobby will access a new box office, The lower level will include the Canandaigua Rotary Club Elevator. Finger Lakes Opera

In 2012 on the Campus of the State University of New York at Geneseo, Finger Lakes Opera Inc. was born. In 2016 Finger Lakes Opera moved from Geneseo and began calling Canandaigua their home. They provide an outstanding opportunity for young singers to be featured in various Finer Lakes Opera Productions thru their Young Artist Program. Past performances include Puccini's Tosca, Irving Berlin's I Love A Piano and Johann Strauss Jr.'s Die Fledermaus. Their 2019 Season will feature, La Boheme, Jack and The Beanstalk and an unforgettable concert ~ Opera HITS! VFW Post 7414 Auxiliary

With over 475,000 members in nearly 3,900 Auxiliaries across the nation, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary work to improve the lives of veterans, active duty members, their families and their community.  Their time is often spent volunteering at the local Veteran Medical Center. Members are very involved in assisting with the pass or block of legislation that impact veterans and their families each year.   The Canandaigua Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and its Auxiliary teach those young and old about our flag, patriotism and encourage them to say The Pledge of Allegiance. They seek to raise money to continue veteran programs through Buddy Poppy drives and donations. Ontario Lyme Support Group

Ontario Lyme Support Group's  mission is to provide support (through education & sharing) with the physical and emotional impact on people and families affected by Lyme and tick borne diseases.
