Are pets allowed?

Yes! Please keep dogs on a leash and be sure to clean up after them. Keep in mind that the festival takes place on one of the hottest weekends of the year and plan accordingly for the health of your furry friends.

Can my band play at the festival?

The Canandaigua Art & Music Festival accepts applications from local bands who perform original and cover music. Our musical lineup is finalized by the end of June each year. To apply, please visit our applications page. If you are looking for last-minute open spots, please contact us.

Can my non-profit organization have a booth at the festival?

Yes, non-profits can apply to be in the festival. Visit the applications page for more information or contact us with questions.

How can I find an artist after the festival?

We’re so glad you found something you loved! First, check the Artists page to see if you recognize them there. If you can’t find them, contact us with a note on their name or what they made and we’ll try to help you figure it out.

How do artists get in to the festival?

The Canandaigua Art & Music Festival is a juried art festival. All exhibited art has been evaluated by a jury and allowed into the festival because it is original work that meets festival standards for quality. If you’re an artist looking for the online application, click here.

I’m an artist. When will I get my setup instructions and booth number?

All accepted artists will receive setup instructions in their acceptance email. Our festival does not give out booth numbers beforehand – all vendors will receive their placement on arrival when they check in with us at the BID office. This helps us coordinate placements and make sure we get to meet you! We have setup times Thursday from 4-7pm and Friday morning starting at 8am.

Is there food?

There is so much food! Visit our festival food vendors by the music stage and look for food trucks and other food vendors as you walk up and down the festival.

What else can we do while we’re in the area?

Where are the Public Restrooms?

Public restrooms can be found throughout the festival site. They are located near the Commons Park Stage, Chamber of Commerce, Mill St. Pavillion and City Hall.

Where is the Canandaigua Art & Music Festival?

The festival takes place in Historic Downtown Canandaigua, NY on South Main Street.

Which streets are affected by the festival?

The festival takes place on South Main Street and end-to-end it stretches down the sidewalks from Antis & Saltonstall Streets all the way past Niagara and Chappin Streets. Parking is available in lots behind main street shops. Parking is not available on South Main Street during the festival weekend.

Why can’t you close off the street?

South Main Street is a thoroughfare that cannot be closed off to traffic. That said, it’s where we choose to showcase our artists – on the beautiful streetscape of Historic Downtown Canandaigua adjacent to the wonderful downtown merchants. Be sure to peruse the art on the sidewalk, the merchants in the shops and safely use the crosswalks.

Will the festival disrupt traffic on the way to CMAC?

Traffic will not be blocked or prevent you from getting to CMAC. The flow of traffic is rarely-to-never disrupted by the festival.
